Lena Jonsson

Swedish award winning fiddler Lena Jonsson is one of the most sought after musicians in the Folk scene right now. Her ability to balance a deep knowledge of traditional Swedish folk music with innovative artistic sensibilities, sparkling joy of life and charisma of a rock star have made her one of Sweden´s most visionary artists. She has created a unique style inspired by traditional Swedish music as well as rock, pop and the american old-time and bluegrass traditions.

Together with guitarist Erik Ronström and bassist Krydda Sundström they create a virtuosic yet playful trio. In 2020 they won both a Swedish Grammy and the Manifest prize for their album “Stories from the outside”, it was also awarded Best album by Sweden´s biggest music magazine LIRA and Song of the year by Swedish Radio.
Förra året vann Lena Jonsson trio både en Grammis och Manifestipriset för sitt album Stories from the Outside.
