On May 1st, Lisa Miskovsky and Sofia Jannok will get together at the historic Åkerlundska Gården in Tärnaby for a Biwa PopUp, which is located just close to Ingemar Stenmark's childhood home on Slalomvägen. In front of a virtual audience they will perform newly written material along with musical retrospectives. This live broadcast also aims to develop skills in arranging infection-proof events. The project is carried out by the Sundsvall-based company Biwa with the support of the Swedish Arts Council in collaboration with MTA Production along with local sponsors. In addition to the efforts of the local organizers, the project also aims to provide jobs to artists and technicians during this pandemic.
Lisa Miskovsky is one of Sweden's most established artists as well as songwriters. She has sold over 200,000 albums, won two Grammys, received five Rockbjörnar, and participated in the Melodifestivalen. In addition to her own artistry, she has had great success as a songwriter for others and has been part of many collaborations in all possible as well as impossible contexts. “This is my first live-streamed concert ever, and the reason for that is because I wanted to wait until I had something very special to give the audience. I will perform together with Sofia Jannok, Patrik Backlund and Kalle Lundin as my guests. Västerbotten is a special place for all of us and that really reflects our music. We share the same interests and that has shaped us in many ways musically” Lisa Miskovsky says.
In addition to the musical meeting, they both have a deep and emotional connection to the local culture and nature. These connections color the music they create.
Also on stage are Patrik Backlund and Kalle Lundin which are the core of the Åkerlund house band. Both Kalle and Patrik have graced the Umeå band Deportees with their musical presence. "A lot of mutual friends and musical journeys have brought us all together and it will be so much fun playing together" Lisa Miskovsky says.
