Amanda Ginsburg´s career has been on the rise for the last few years. She´s been seen and heard on SVT Gokväll & in Allsång på Skansen as well as been touring extensively over Sweden for thousands of listeners. On February 7:th, Amanda was awarded a Grammy in the category ”Jazz album of the year”
Following the warm reception of her debut album ”Jag har funderat på en sak” she had even more success by winning the Olle Adolphson scolarship, several STIM scolarships and the Jazz award of Swedish composers/lyricists, motivating:
Her music carries echoes of our legendary jazz singers. She´s capable of creating new, charming tunes inpired by it´s history, but that still speaks with a totally unique voice.
In the autumn of 2020 Amanda Ginsburg released her sequel ”I de lilla händer det mesta”, an album who´s now 2021 won a Grammy in the category ”Jazz of the year”.
- I see this album as a natural progression from the first one. It contains the arbitrary simple stories that´s a big part of my life, and probably other people´s life too. I can find endless inspiration in the everyday life. If I aim too high, I usually get writer´s block.
