Oscar Danielson himself is a genre of his own and he´s a critics favorite and celebrated live artist. He´s toured Norway & Denmark extensively, but in Sweden he´s still somewhat of a hidden gem.
He utilizes some of the most acclaimed musicians for the studio recordings,, but generally plays solo live and is armed with nothing more than his guitar.
His song ”Besvärjelse” from the album ”Stockholm i mitt hjärta” is played over 3 million times on Spotify and has been covered by several artists.
Oscar is regarded by many as Sweden´s premier lyricist and he writes lyrics about mannerisms, people in their mid-lifes, children, the life puzzle and the ever so ticking clock. Every line of his lyrics has the hallmark of Oscar´s subtle humour and well composed phrasing.
In 2012, Oscar´s album ”Det kostar på att vara barn” was awarded a Grammis in the category ”Årets barnskiva” and in 2013 he was nominated for a Grammis in the same category for the album ”Oscar Danielsson sjunger för barn som borde sova”.
